Quick take

A replacement handle for spinning reels 1000-4000 series with a wooden knob and folding design.

This is a pair of small replacement power handles with a rotary knob, made for spinning reels in the 1000 to 4000 size range. The grip folds to about 45 degrees at the press of a shutter button and returns to a right angle by hand, which makes it easy to stow. Stainless steel construction with a rust-resistant finish suits an angler refreshing a worn or damaged handle on a spinning reel.

Best for

  • Reel customization and restoration
  • Comfortable grip replacement
  • Mechanical repair of worn handles

Skip if

  • Your reel is incompatible with 1000-4000 series
  • You prefer fixed handles

Strengths

  • Wood knob provides comfortable, warm feel
  • 360-degree rotation enables ambidextrous use
  • Folds for compact storage when not in use

Trade-offs

  • Limited compatibility range
  • Wood may warp or splinter with heavy use
  • Installation requires mechanical knowledge
