Quick take

Circle hooks with 6 sizes in a reusable hard box, suited for live and cut bait in fresh and saltwater.

This is a 150-piece circle hook assortment with an offset point, forged from high carbon steel with a loop eye and a black finish. It covers six sizes from #1 up to 5/0, 25 hooks of each, and comes in a reusable hard plastic box. The mix suits catfish and other freshwater or saltwater bait fishing, and circle hooks let a fish hook itself as it turns away with the bait.

Best for

  • Live bait fishing with higher hook-up rates
  • Catch-and-release fishing where hook damage matters
  • Bottom fishing for catfish and saltwater species

Skip if

  • You use soft plastic lures; circle hooks don't suit them
  • You need treble hooks for topwater lures

Strengths

  • Offset point and circle design reduce deep hooking
  • Assorted sizes cover most bait fishing situations
  • Loop eye simplifies rigging and knots
  • Hard plastic box keeps hooks organized

Trade-offs

  • Circle hooks require different hook sets than J-hooks
  • Offset design can slip on very soft baits
  • Need to adjust casting style to suit circle hooks
