Quick take
A 35-inch portable nylon mesh bag that keeps fish alive and can double as an emergency landing net.
This foldable nylon mesh bag from JZTang is a 35-inch keep net for holding a catch at the water's edge. It weighs under 3 ounces and packs down small, so it rides easily in a tackle bag. The 0.8-inch mesh and rubber tie make it simple to close up, and it can also stand in as a makeshift landing net.
Best for
- Shore and wade fishing where keeping fish alive matters
- Anglers who want lightweight, portable fish storage
- Rivers and streams where a dedicated net is impractical
Skip if
- You need a boat net or heavy-duty landing net
- You catch and release only
Strengths
- 18-strand nylon construction is firm but not abrasive to fish
- Rubber closure keeps fish in the bag without knotting
- Weighs only 2.8 oz and rolls up small for easy transport
Trade-offs
- 35 inches is long; bulky to carry on a backpack
- Mesh is fine for small to medium fish; may not hold large trophy fish
- Nylon deteriorates with sun exposure if stored wet
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
