Quick take
LED rod tip lights with metal bells for night fishing visibility and bite alerts.
This set of 21 clip-on rod tip alarms pairs an LED light with a pair of metal bells, so a bite shows up as both a flash and a jingle after dark. The lights come in red, green and blue, which makes it easy to tell rods apart on a bank or ice. Each unit runs on two LR41 button cells and switches on by flipping the batteries, with no tools needed. The clip-on design suits night sessions for catfish, walleye and ice fishing.
Best for
- Ice fishing and night fishing with extended sessions
- Low-light conditions where darkness obscures rod tips
- Anglers fishing multiple rods who need visual confirmation of bites
Skip if
- You fish only daylight hours
- You prefer electronic beeping over visual alerts
Strengths
- Ultra-bright LEDs remain visible 30 hours on dual LR41 batteries
- Three colors let you assign different rods for quick identification
- Dual galvanized bells provide audio confirmation in addition to lights
- Waterproof plastic housing withstands freezing and splashing
Trade-offs
- LED brightness can be distracting on crowded piers
- Detachable bells can separate if clip isn't tight
