Quick take

A four-pack of PVC rod stands with alarm bells designed for bank, beach and ground fishing without holding the rod.

This set of four ground-stake rod holders pairs a PVC sleeve with a tapered steel spike that pushes into sand, mud or soil along a bank or beach. The spike stores inside the sleeve, so each holder packs down to about 6.3 inches for the tackle bag. Each one comes with a clip-on bell to signal a bite, handy for anglers running several spinning or casting rods at once.

Best for

Bank and pier fishing with multiple rods
Unattended rigs in lakes, rivers or ponds
Anglers who want to fish hands-free and detect bites

Skip if
