Quick take
Moderate-length spinning rod with carbon composite blank built for sensitivity and casting accuracy.
The Kalex XT1 is a four-piece 6'6" medium-power casting and spinning rod, so it breaks down to fit a pack or a car trunk. It has a fast-action carbon composite blank, stainless steel guides with aluminum oxide inserts and a twist-lock reel seat. A split EVA grip keeps the handle light. It suits anglers who want a compact travel rod for bass, panfish and trout.
