Quick take

Advanced polymer-coated monofilament with reduced stretch for sensitivity, low memory, and excellent abrasion resistance.

Best for

  • Anglers seeking improved sensitivity without switching to specialty line types
  • Clear-water fishing where standard mono is too visible
  • Situations demanding both low stretch and low memory

Skip if

  • You use heavy braided line as mainline
  • You fish only occasionally and do not need advanced properties

Strengths

  • Polymer coating enhances abrasion resistance beyond standard monofilament
  • Low memory reduces tangles; lower stretch improves bite detection
  • Color variety from ghost clear to camo suits different water conditions

Trade-offs

  • Advanced properties make this pricier than basic monofilament
  • Polymer coating requires careful handling to avoid degradation
  • 12% lower stretch than standard does not match fluorocarbon sensitivity
