Style: B:Fish Fillet Mat Set

Quick take

A large anti-slip fish filleting mat with an integrated 25-inch ruler for measuring and processing your catch.

Best for

  • Boat and shore filleting of various fish sizes
  • Quickly measuring fish size to verify minimum or maximum limits
  • Easy cleanup after filleting with simple hose-off washing

Skip if

  • You fillet fish at a permanent cutting table
  • You prepare fish only indoors in a kitchen

Strengths

  • Anti-slip texture grips the fish securely so it does not slide around during filleting
  • Integrated ruler eliminates need to bring a separate measuring device to the boat
  • Carrying handle and storage straps make the mat portable and easy to store

Trade-offs

  • Large 29 in size takes up significant boat or truck space when rolled up
  • Elastomer material can develop creases and permanent indentations from storage
  • Dark colors show fish blood and residue making cleanup visible until washed
