Options
Quick take
A line spooler that measures line length with an integrated counter and includes heavy-duty stainless steel scissors for cutting braid.
Best for
- Anglers who frequently respool their own reels
- Splitting one spool of line between multiple reels
- Adding backing to fly reels or proper fill to spinning reels
Skip if
- You use only factory-spooled reels
- You fish in tight spaces without a workbench
Strengths
- Built-in line counter lets you add precise amounts of backing
- 420 stainless steel scissors cut through braid and mono cleanly
- Patent pending design prevents line twist during spooling
Trade-offs
- Requires a stable surface and rod to operate
- The 3.5 in spool limit does not fit all bulk spools
- Counter must be reset between different line weights
