Quick take
A saltwater spinning reel with carbon fiber drag up to 30-55 lbs and water-resistant seals for inshore and offshore fishing.
This is the size 4000 KastKing ReKon, a saltwater spinning reel in navy blue. It pairs a 6.2:1 gear ratio with a two-disc carbon fiber drag and a braid-ready aluminum spool, so braided line can go on without mono backing. It suits anglers working inshore flats, jetties and the surf for redfish, striped bass and similar species.
Best for
- Saltwater spinning rigs for striped bass and redfish
- Anglers who target tarpon or other hard-fighting fish
- Boats and kayaks in coastal environments
Skip if

- You fish primarily in freshwater
