Quick take
A waterproof 110-pound digital scale with a large backlit LCD display, floating design, and included stainless steel pliers and lip gripper.
This KastKing combo puts a floating, waterproof digital scale with a lip grip and a set of stainless steel pliers in one kit. The scale reads up to 110 lb on a 2.5 inch backlit LCD, switches between pounds, ounces and kilograms, and holds nine weights in memory. The pliers add a line cutter, a sheath and a coiled lanyard, so hook removal and weigh-ins are covered from the same rig. It suits anglers who want to weigh and release a catch without carrying separate tools.
Best for
- Recording weights of multiple catch during a fishing trip
- Night fishing where visibility is low due to backlit display
- Saltwater and freshwater fishing with waterproof protection
Skip if
- You need a mechanical scale that requires no batteries
- You fish waters where floating equipment risks loss
Strengths
- Waterproof sealed construction floats if dropped in water, preventing loss
- Backlit display is readable in low light and at night
- Pliers and lip gripper included reduce the need for separate tools
Trade-offs
- Batteries required; no power supply included
- Digital display may freeze in extreme cold water
- Lip gripper adds weight and size for transport
