Quick take
Glow sticks that insert into floats to make them visible at night or in low-light conditions.
A pack of 50 green float glow sticks at 4.5mm in diameter, made for slipping onto a float or rod tip for night fishing. Each stick glows for 10 to 18 hours and can be seen from about 35 meters away. The needle point makes it easy to fit the stick into a float body for a simple after-dark bite marker.
Best for
- Night fishing where visual float detection is essential
- Dawn and dusk sessions in dim light over deep water
- Anglers who fish floats but want to avoid reading rods in darkness
Skip if
- You fish in daylight and need no float visibility aids
- You use electronic strike indicators or bite alarms instead
Strengths
- Bright green glow is visible up to 35 meters in darkness
- Long 10-18 hour duration covers evening and predawn sessions
- Small 4.5 mm diameter fits most float attachment holes
Trade-offs
- Glow fades with age even when not in use
- Single-use application; once exhausted, light sticks must be replaced
- Green color may attract fish attention and reduce bite numbers
