Quick take
A compact aluminum knot-tying tool that helps tie 25+ knots quickly, with improved knurling for grip and a lighter spring.
This is a two-pack of the Knot Kneedle Epic, a small aluminum and stainless knot-tying tool made for fly anglers working with fine tippet. It helps with more than 20 knots, including the nail knot, and is aimed at anyone who struggles with tiny line or cold fingers. The set comes with zingers so each tool can clip to a vest within easy reach.
Best for
- Fly fishing with small tippet in cold or dim conditions
- Anglers with weak grip strength or arthritis
- Tying reliable knots under time pressure on the water
Skip if
- You tie knots easily by hand without tools
- You fish only conventional line heavier than fly tippet
Strengths
- Lighter spring and improved knurling make tying faster with less hand effort
- Corrosion-resistant construction handles freshwater and saltwater equally
- Ultralight design fits in a vest pocket
