Quick take
A thick neoprene cover that protects large spinning reels in storage or transport.
This large spinning reel cover from KUFA is sized for reels in the 6000 to 20000 range and is cut from 5mm two-tone neoprene. The stretchy material slips over the reel and closes with hook and loop, and it fits whether the reel is on or off the rod. It suits left- or right-hand setups, a handy way to shield a big spinning reel from bumps and scratches in the boat or truck.
Best for
- Protecting valuable spinning reels from bumps and scratches
- Storage between trips for bass, walleye and larger fish reels
- Travel protection when bringing reels to the water
Skip if
- Your reels stay on the rod during storage
- You use very large reels over 20000 size
Strengths
- 5mm thickness provides substantial cushion against impact
- Neoprene stretches to fit reels on or off rod
- Hook and loop closure seals easily and resecures reliably
Trade-offs
- Neoprene absorbs water and requires air-drying after use
- Sized for specific reel sizes only; a loose fit allows reel movement
- Adds small storage footprint but not pocketable
