Quick take
Heavy-duty offset circle hooks in sizes from 2# to 14/0, black nickel finished, suited for catfish and large saltwater species.
This is a 40-count set of 12/0 offset circle hooks from Kunsilane, made of high carbon steel with a black nickel coating and a needle point. The circle shape sets in the corner of the mouth, which suits catch-and-release catfishing with live or cut bait. A size this large is aimed at big flathead and blue catfish, and at drum and similar saltwater fish.
Best for
- Large catfish and flatheads on live or cut bait
- Redfish and stripers on live baitfish
- Catch-and-release fishing where line-safe hooking matters
Skip if
- You fish for small panfish or crappie
- You need a straight-point hook for certain rigs
Strengths
- Needle point penetrates hard catfish mouths quickly
- Offset design reduces deep hooking and gut wounds
- Black nickel finish resists rust in both fresh and salt water
Trade-offs
- 40-pack of 12/0 is sized only for big catfish and saltwater species
- Offset circle hook has slower penetration than straight points on light line
- Black nickel finish requires rinsing and drying after saltwater use
