Quick take

Multi-strand braided line with low visibility in gray, offering high strength and minimal stretch for sensitive detection.

Seaguar's R18 Perfect Sea Bass braid is a PE line in Stealth Gray, sized No. 1 with 19 lb strength and 200 m (66.6 ft) on the spool. Built around sea bass fishing, it suits anglers who want a thin braided main line for light tackle and inshore work.

Best for

  • Sea bass and saltwater species where visibility matters
  • Jigging and structure fishing where bite feel is critical
  • Anglers wanting braided performance in a less visible color

Skip if

  • You fish in extremely clear water where even gray is visible
  • You want maximum abrasion resistance on rough bottoms

Strengths

  • 8-strand braid gives smooth surface for better line guides
  • Stealth gray color provides cover while maintaining visibility
  • No stretch means immediate bite detection
  • Thin diameter per pound rating allows smaller reel capacities

Trade-offs

  • Braided line is more visible than monofilament in some conditions
  • Requires backing or special knots to secure to reel
  • Thinner braid is more prone to abrasion on sharp rocks
