Quick take

A durable cast net for capturing live bait and minnows with quick-sinking design and non-tangled construction.

Best for

  • Capturing minnows for saltwater jigging
  • Gathering shrimp in shallow bays
  • Collecting panfish for live bait

Skip if

  • You need a net for active fish handling rather than bait capture
  • You fish in heavy current where net control is difficult

Strengths

  • Non-tangled design simplifies throwing and retrieval
  • Sinking iron pendants enable quick bottom sealing
  • Monofilament withstands repeated use and saltwater conditions

Trade-offs

  • Larger 12 ft radius versions are heavy to throw repeatedly
  • 1/2 in mesh may miss very small baitfish
  • Requires practice to throw effectively
