Quick take
Slim cigar-shaped floats sized for crappie and panfish, with a slot for hands-free line threading.
This cigar-shaped Leland Lures float measures 2 inches and is built for crappie fishing. Its slot lets anglers add it to the line without cutting it, which helps when changing depths. It can also serve as a slip float, with a bobber stop setting the depth where the bait hangs.
Best for
- Crappie fishing with minnows or jigs
- Light presentations in shallow water
- Slip bobber or fixed-distance rigs
Skip if
- You need large floats for deep water
- You fish lures that require full-depth casting
Strengths
- Slot design eliminates line cutting for quick float changes
- Slim profile casts better than round bobbers
- Works as both fixed and slip bobber
Trade-offs
- 2-inch size is small and hard to see from distance
- Plastic can cloud or yellow over time
- Slot can weaken structural integrity in rough handling
