Quick take

A mid-profile baitcaster with ten ball bearings and multi-setting magnetic and centrifugal brake for accurate casting control.

Best for

  • Freshwater casting and light-cover work
  • Anglers who prioritize accurate casting over maximum drag
  • General baitcasting with varied lure weights

Skip if

  • You need an ultra-low profile reel for extreme cover

Strengths

  • Ten stainless steel ball bearings deliver smooth, consistent rotation
  • Magnetic and centrifugal multi-setting brake allows hyper-accurate casting
  • Twenty-five inch line recovery per turn with 6.2 gear ratio balances speed and power

Trade-offs

  • Twenty pound drag is adequate for freshwater but limits use on large catfish
  • One-piece aluminum frame is strong but heavier than composite alternatives
  • Multi-setting brake requires adjustment for different lure weights
