Quick take
This right-hand Lew's Speed Spool is a low-profile baitcasting reel with a 7.5:1 gear ratio, so it picks up line quickly for moving baits. It pairs an aluminum frame and handle with a 10-bearing system and a Zero Reverse one-way clutch. It takes braid, mono or fluorocarbon, which suits an angler building out a casting setup for bass and similar species.
Best for
- Bass in freshwater lakes and rivers
- Medium-sized lures and standard techniques
