Quick take
Banana-shaped slip sinkers with rounded edges to reduce snagging on bottom.
This is a half-ounce slip sinker from Lindy with a curved banana body, sold as a pack of six. The shape is meant to slide over rocks and wood rather than tumble, which helps when dragging live bait or plastics along a rough bottom. It is a handy pick for anglers who keep losing weights to snags.
Best for
- Fishing rocky bottoms and snaggy areas
- Live-bait presentations over cover
- Bottom rigs in lakes and rivers
Skip if
- You need precise weight on drop-shot rigs
- You prefer egg or bullet sinkers
Strengths
- Rounded banana shape slides over rocks and wood without catching
- Slip design allows line through center for easy rigging
- 1/2 oz size suits most freshwater presentations
Trade-offs

- 1/2 oz limits depth control in fast current
- Lead material requires safe disposal
