Quick take
Compact line cutter with patented ceramic blade slot and serrated scissors, glow-in-the-dark for night use.
This pocket-sized line cutter pairs a ceramic cutting slot with a set of serrated stainless steel micro scissors. The slot handles mono, fluoro and braid, while the scissors trim tag ends close to the knot. A steel clip lets it ride on a hat bill or belt, and the glow-in-the-dark body makes it easier to find at night.
Best for
- Night fishing
- Cutting heavy braided line at the knot
- Anglers who carry minimal gear
Skip if
- You need full pliers functionality
- You cut line away from knots
Strengths
- Ceramic cutting slot cuts braided line that stainless scissors cannot
- Serrated scissors reach close to knots without disturbing them
- Glow-in-the-dark finish aids visibility in low light
Trade-offs
- Does not remove hooks or grip fish
- Ceramic blade is fixed and cannot be replaced by user
- Small size makes it hard to grip for those with large hands
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
