Quick take
A gel attractant that blends crawfish scent with anise and amino acids to trigger bites.
Liquid Mayhem's anise crawfish gel is a concentrated attractant made from real bait, with baitfish enzymes and amino acids added. It comes in a squeeze tube for easy application to soft plastics, jigs and creature baits. The gel is meant to be refreshed about every 30 casts, which suits bass anglers who want scent that stays on the lure.
Best for
- Soft plastic worms and creature baits for bass
- Bottom rigs and jigs for catfish and bass
- Stained water where scent and visibility matter
Skip if
- You prefer to fish unscented lures; gel adds bulk
- You fish in very clear water where scent attracts unintended species
Strengths
- Amino acids and enzymes activate natural feeding response
- UV enhancers add visibility in low-light conditions
- Crawfish scent is effective year-round for bass and catfish
Trade-offs
- Gel is sticky and gets on hands during application
- Adds extra weight to lightweight soft plastics
- Scent dissipates after several casts; requires reapplication
