Quick take
A real-anchovy scent gel with amino enzymes for bass on crankbaits, jigs, and swim baits.
Liquid Mayhem's bass attractant is a scent gel in a 2 oz (60 ml) tube, made with real anchovy bait and amino and enzyme additives. It is a sticky gel with UV enhancers, meant to be worked onto lures such as crankbaits, flipping jigs, swimbaits and creature baits. Bass anglers who want to add scent to a lure before casting will find it a simple tube to keep in the box.
Best for
- Crankbait fishing in stained water
- Flipping jigs in dense cover
- Increasing attraction on high-pressure days
Skip if
- You fish clear water where scent provides minimal benefit
- You prefer unscented presentations
Strengths
- Dense scent trail from real forage triggers predatory strikes
- UV enhancers boost lure visibility in low-light and murky conditions
- Sticky gel formula resists washing off during active retrieves
Trade-offs
- Scent effectiveness varies among individual fish and conditions
- Gel adds minor weight to ultra-light lure applications
- Most effective in stained water; limited benefit in clear lakes
