Quick take
Precision-engineered hollow body mouse that skitters across lily pads and grass mats for largemouth bass and pike.
A 2 1/4 inch hollow-body mouse topwater lure in an all-black finish. It is weedless, so it can be walked over thick vegetation and matted cover. Anglers chasing bass and pike around pads and grass will find it suited to that kind of surface work.
Best for
- Heavy cover like lily pads and grass mats
- Bass and pike stalking in summer
- Walking baits across open water
Skip if
- You fish open water with minimal cover
- You need lures that track straight; walking baits are erratic
Strengths
- Hollow design compresses on strike for solid hookups
- Realistic mouse profile triggers aggressive strikes from pike
- Weedless hook system handles dense vegetation
Trade-offs
- Erratic walking action requires practiced retrieve technique

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
