Quick take
A 3 in weedless topwater lure with double skirted wings that mimics a live dragonfly.
The Lunkerhunt Dragonfly in Dasher is a 3-inch finesse topwater that floats on the surface and weighs a quarter ounce. Double skirted wings and a slim body give it a dragonfly profile, and the 4/0 extra wide gap hook keeps it weedless for working weedy banks. Bass and pike anglers can twitch it slowly over cover.
Best for
- Shallow weedy areas and vegetation
- Bass and pike in summer
- Topwater action on calm water
Skip if
- You fish deep water where dragonflies don't live
- You need a lure that casts far on light line
Strengths
- Weedless hook design avoids heavy cover
- Double skirted wings add realism and movement
- Lightweight for shallow water and panicky retrieves
Trade-offs
- 0.25 oz lure difficult to cast on heavy line or in wind
- Weedless design means hook is buried and may miss strikes
- Small size not ideal for large fish

About this type

Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
