Quick take
A polyester and mesh fly fishing sling pack worn over the shoulder, organized for immediate access to fly gear.
This nylon sling pack carries your fly fishing gear on one shoulder and swings around to the front when you need to reach a pocket. It has an adjustable padded strap, mesh-lined fabric, several pockets and attachment points, plus a back sleeve for a landing net and a holder for a water bottle. It suits anglers who wade or hike to the water and want a lighter setup than a full vest.
Best for
- Bank and wade fishing where you need one-shoulder access
- Moving between multiple fly fishing pools and runs
- Anglers who fish with minimal other gear
Skip if
- You carry a full tackle box or multiple rods
- You need a hands-free pack for hiking between locations
Strengths
- Sling design offers quick access without removing the pack
- Multiple compartments keep flies and tools organized
- Lightweight enough for all-day wading
Trade-offs
- Limited storage for bulky items or extra rods
- Single strap can become uncomfortable on long days
- Smaller capacity than a full fishing vest
