Quick take
A waterproof 20-liter hard tackle box with sliding tray, sized as a seated storage box for compact tackle organization and transport.
The Meiho BM-5000 Bucket Mouse is the smallest box in its series, a 20-liter hard case sturdy enough to sit on at the water. It has a single main compartment with a sliding tray inside, and a waterproof build made in Japan. Optional add-on parts such as drink holders are sold separately, so you can set it up for your own style of fishing.
Best for
- Organized tackle storage at home or on the water
- Compact storage that sits beside you while fishing
- Keeping bait and lures separated in one box
Skip if
- You need a large tackle backpack for hiking
- You fish from a boat with plenty of storage
Strengths
- Waterproof construction protects lures and tackle from rain and spray
- 20-liter capacity holds substantial tackle without being bulky
- Sliding tray keeps organized items accessible
- Hard plastic resists dents and punctures better than soft bags
Trade-offs
- 17.3-inch height makes it less portable than a small bag
- No rod storage; this box is tackle-only
- Waterproof seal requires regular cleaning to prevent mold
