Quick take

A clear plastic tackle box with a single deep compartment that holds thick, bulky tackle and stacks vertically for organized storage.

This clear polypropylene box from Meiho measures about 10 by 7.5 inches and is 2.4 inches deep, with a single open compartment for bulky or oddly shaped pieces. A snap clasp holds the lid shut, and the box can stand on its edge for vertical storage. It suits larger tackle, spare parts and workshop odds and ends, and it is not water resistant.

Best for

  • Storing medium-sized tackle and soft plastics
  • Creating a modular tackle storage system
  • Organizing tools and hobby supplies

Skip if

  • You need divided compartments
  • Your tackle is fragile and needs padding

Strengths

  • Clear plastic allows quick identification of contents without opening
  • Single deep compartment accommodates bulky items
  • Stackable design maximizes storage space in a tackle bag or locker

Trade-offs

  • Single compartment requires sorting before each use
  • Polypropylene cracks if dropped or subjected to cold temperatures
  • Clear plastic becomes cloudy after exposure to saltwater spray
