Quick take
Double-sided reversible fly box with face-to-face triangle storage to fit plugs and light game flies.
The Meiho Reversible F-86 is a slim two-sided case for light game plugs, made of polypropylene with a clear look. Its face-to-face triangle layout keeps small lures from tangling hooks, and it has a drainage duct so it can be rinsed. It measures about 5.5 by 4.1 by 0.9 inches and weighs 0.2 pounds, and it stacks into the upper compartment of a Langan System Box.
Best for
- Fly fishers carrying multiple flies for trout and light saltwater
- Light game anglers storing small plugs and lures
- Traveling or minimalist anglers wanting compact storage
Skip if
- You tie large saltwater or pike flies
- You need rows of slots instead of compartments
Strengths
- Two-sided design doubles storage in compact box
- Triangle construction efficiently uses space
- Clear sides let you see fly contents at a glance
Trade-offs
- Compartments work better than slots for some fly types
- Smaller capacity than full-size fly boxes
- Not stackable with standard fly box systems
