Quick take

A clear polypropylene fly box with wave-pattern compartments for organizing and protecting fly patterns during storage and transport.

This Meiho Versus Wave egi stocker is a clear polypropylene case made to hold squid jigs. It is a slim, flat case, about 10.6 inches long and 1.4 inches thick, so it slips into a tackle bag or a pocket of a rod case. Squid anglers who want their egi sorted and visible at a glance will find it a handy way to carry them.

Best for

  • Fly fishing trips and excursions
  • Organizing and protecting dry and wet flies
  • Quick access to flies while on the water

Skip if

  • You prefer a waterproof hard case
  • You need a compact single-compartment box

Strengths

  • Clear plastic makes it easy to see and find flies without opening
  • Multiple compartments keep different fly sizes and patterns separated
  • Lightweight and compact for pack fishing

Trade-offs

  • Clear plastic is less durable than hard cases and scratches easily
  • Lacks weather sealing, so it is not fully waterproof
  • Can allow flies to dry out if left open in sun
