Quick take

A large system tackle box with handle stopper and water-resistant construction for boat and shore fishing.

The Meiho VS-7070N is a green two-tone hard tackle box for bass anglers who fish from a boat. Its handle stopper keeps the box from tilting when carried, and a one-touch buckle and anti-slip rubber hold it steady. The top tray has six movable dividers and the lower compartment has two, with room below for compatible Meiho cases.

Best for

  • Bass fishing tournaments from boats
  • Long trips where storage capacity matters
  • Organizing multiple rig types and colors

Skip if

  • You wade and need a compact pack
  • You carry specialized fly boxes only

Strengths

  • Handle stopper eliminates tilting when carrying unbalanced loads
  • Water-resistant rubber construction withstands spray and rain
  • One-touch buckles provide quick closing without fumbling

Trade-offs

  • Large size limits portability on foot
  • Single compartment means loose item mixing without dividers
  • Weight (4.66 lbs) adds significant burden to wading
