Quick take
A 15-liter Langan system box with aluminum construction, handle stopper, and modular dividers for boat and shore fishing.
The Meiho VS-7080N is a 15-liter hard tackle box in the Langan style, built for bass anglers who fish from a boat. A handle stopper holds the handle upright so the box stays level when you carry it, and the lid is made to double as a seat. Two trays and two dividers let you sort lures, and anti-slip rubber keeps it planted on a deck.
Best for
- Bass fishing from boats and tube floats
- Organizing lures, jigs, and terminal tackle by type
- Anglers who want to minimize weight while maintaining capacity
Skip if
- You need crush-resistant plastic for throwing in trucks
- You want a box that floats
Strengths
- Aluminum is lighter than plastic for the given capacity
- Langan system modular plates allow custom organization
- One-touch buckle secures contents and is faster than latches
Trade-offs
- Aluminum can corrode in saltwater without rinse-down
- Deeper than some boxes, so finding small items takes time
- Langan system plates are not compatible with standard tackle boxes
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
