Quick take
A size 5 inline spinner with a black body and chartreuse dot for visibility in murky water.
The size 5 Black Fury with a chart dot is an inline spinner built for anglers working panfish and larger bass. Its blade sits closer to the body than a classic Aglia blade, which suits shallow to mid-depth water. Low light and bright sun both suit its contrasting finish.
Best for
- Panfish and small bass in ponds and small streams
- Working around vegetation where a light lure prevents snagging
- Casting from shore into shallow weeds
Skip if
- You fish deep water where you need a weighted lure to reach bottom
- You want a spinerbait with a skirt to create silhouette
Strengths
- Chartreuse dot provides visibility in low-light or stained water
- Treble hook catches short strikes from small aggressive fish
- Compact size lets you cast into tight spaces between grass
Trade-offs
- Treble hook can tangle easily if not stored carefully
- Small size limits depth and distance casting ability
- In-line spinners twist line over time, so a small swivel helps

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
