Quick take
A set of 6 foam leader boards in three sizes that keep pre-tied rigs and snelled hooks organized without tangling between trips.
This is a set of six foam boards for winding and storing leaders, snelled hooks and rigs. The large size measures about 8.3 by 2.8 inches and is only a fraction of an inch thick, so it slips into a tackle bag easily. The light foam wrap keeps wound rigs from tangling, which suits walleye, stream and fly anglers who carry several rigs at once.
Best for
- Anglers who tie multiple rigs in advance
- Storing pre-snelled hooks and terminal tackle
- Organizing leaders by size and type
Skip if
- You only use a few leaders at a time
- You prefer tackle boxes for everything
Strengths
- Foam surface keeps rigs from tangling or slipping
- Three sizes accommodate different leader lengths and weights
- Portable design makes transporting leaders to the water easy
Trade-offs
- Foam can compress over time with heavy gear loads
- Colors are random which may not match organizational systems
- Requires gentle handling to prevent leaders from catching
