Quick take
Size 5/0 offset circle hooks with heavy 3X-strong wire for catfish and saltwater species.
This 5/0 Mustad Demon offset circle hook is built from heavy 3X-strength wire with a black nickel finish that works in both salt and fresh water. Its offset point angles toward the jaw for a quick turn-in while keeping the corner-of-the-mouth circle action. Anglers after catfish, tarpon, grouper or mahi mahi will find a size suited to heavier fish.
Best for
- Trophy channel and blue catfish
- Redfish in saltwater
- Heavy leader rigs for large bait
Skip if
- You fish ultralight tackle
- You prefer in-line circle hooks
Strengths

- Offset design hooks faster than in-line circles
- Corner-mouth hook-set requires no hard jerks
Trade-offs
