Quick take
Size 4/0 circle hooks with an offset point and fine wire, suited for live bait fishing in salt and fresh water.
The Mustad Demon Perfect Inline Circle Hook in size 4/0 is a fine-wire, wide-gap circle pattern with a black nickel finish and a needle point. Its inline point rolls toward the corner of the mouth as the fish pulls, which suits live bait and bottom rigs where you let the fish load the rod. It comes as a pack of 25 and fits catch-and-release anglers working catfish, striped bass or halibut.
Best for
- Live bait presentations for larger species
- Bottom fishing in saltwater or freshwater
- Anglers targeting striped bass, catfish or saltwater species
Skip if
- You fish catch-and-release for trout; size 4/0 may be too large
- You use artificial lures; worm hooks work better
Strengths
- Circle design hooks the corner of the mouth automatically
- Wide gap accommodates thick live bait
- Offset point aids penetration on the bite
Trade-offs
- 1X fine wire limits strength compared to heavier hooks
- Offset point can bend under heavy pressure
- Designed for live bait; less effective with artificials

- Freshwater
- Saltwater

- Live bait
