Quick take
Size 6 black nickel jig hooks at a 90-degree bend, suitable for jigging small live and dead baits.
This is a size 6 Mustad UltraPoint jig hook in black nickel, with a 90-degree round bend and forged 2X heavy wire. The short eye leaves more of the needle point exposed, and the small size suits pouring light jigheads for trout and panfish. It comes as a bulk pack of 100 for anglers who pour or tie their own jigs.
Best for
- Trout with small live minnows or dace
- Jigging with soft plastics on light line
- Ice fishing small panfish
Skip if
- You fish large baits; upgrade to size 2 or larger
- You need circle hooks for catch-and-release
Strengths
- UltraPoint technology stays sharp through multiple fish
- 90-degree bend positions the point well for hooksets
- 2X strong construction handles heavier jigging
Trade-offs
