Quick take
A foldable trout net with aluminum frame, hook-proof nylon mesh and telescoping pole that fits easily into storage.
This compact Neween landing net pairs an aluminum handle with a rubber grip and a nylon mesh bag on a triangular frame. The frame folds down, so it tucks into a tackle bag or rod locker, and it runs about 21 inches when extended on its fixed pole. It suits trout and pond fishing where you want a small net for catch and release.
Best for
- Trout in streams and small rivers
- Catch-and-release fishing
- Anglers who walk far to fish
Skip if
- You fish from a boat where a sturdier fixed net suits better
- You need a net larger than 21 inches
Strengths
- Foldable frame and collapsible pole for easy transport
- Non-slip rubber grip stays secure when wet
- Threaded mouth design allows length adjustment
Trade-offs
- Small folded size means modest net opening when extended
- Threaded joints require occasional tightening
- Not ideal for holding large fish
