Quick take
Rubber chugger trolling lures designed for offshore pelagic species with loud splashing action and realistic movement.
This OCEAN CAT set holds six 6-inch rubber chugger trolling lures, each with a crystal head that carries a lead weight and 3D eyes. The heads are made to push water and throw a splash at trolling speed. It is a pack for offshore anglers working pelagic species such as mahi, wahoo, tuna and marlin from a boat.
Best for
- Trolling for tuna, marlin and mahi-mahi
- High-speed offshore fishing

Strengths
- Rubber construction absorbs impacts and withstands sharp teeth of large offshore fish
- Crystal head with internal weight creates loud splash and splash pattern at trolling speed
- Double circle hooks reduce deep hooking and improve landing success on large fish
Trade-offs
- Rubber deteriorates and requires cleaning after each saltwater use to extend life
- 6-inch size is heavy and requires heavy trolling tackle to deploy and work
- Chugger action is most effective at high trolling speeds, limiting versatility in varied conditions

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
