Quick take
Set of five slow-fall metal jigs with glow strips and stinger hooks for offshore vertical jigging.
This 5 2/7 oz (150 g) lead jig in green and gold suits anglers who want a heavier profile for slow-pitch work in saltwater. Its flat back and glow strips on the front help it flutter and flash on the fall, and a pair of glow-tasseled hooks trails from the body.
Best for
- Vertical jigging for tuna and offshore pelagics
- Saltwater fishing at night or in dark water
Skip if
- You fish shallow water or lakes
- You want a lure to cast long distance
Strengths
- Slow-fall design allows fish time to strike on the drop
- Glow strips attract fish in deep dark water
- Multiple weights let you match current and depth
Trade-offs

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
