Quick take

A pre-rigged slow-pitch jig with an asymmetric design and glow tassels for vertical jigging in saltwater depths.

This blue jig weighs 6 1/3 oz and sinks, so it drops through the water column on a vertical presentation. Its lead and metal body carries a glow strip on one side and a silver face on the other, and it suits anglers targeting bass.

Best for

  • Vertical jigging for tuna, kingfish, and snappers
  • Deep water fishing with glow jigs
  • Jigging behind the boat

Skip if

  • You need a light jig for shallow water
  • You plan to shore fish or fish from a kayak

Strengths

  • Asymmetric front and back create multiple underwater actions
  • Pre-rigged with hooks and tassels saves setup time
  • Glow material shines in deep, low-light water

Trade-offs

  • Heavy weight requires heavier tackle and boat fishing
  • Sharp hooks and corners require careful handling

About this type
