Quick take

An x-large soft-sided tackle bag with multiple storage pockets and included utility boxes.

This soft-sided tackle bag from Okeechobee Fats has a top-load main compartment that holds up to four large utility boxes, with two partitioned boxes included. A zippered front pocket, two front tool holders and a side mesh pocket with a detachable towel keep pliers and small items within reach. An adjustable shoulder strap and a top haul handle give you two ways to carry it, and the water-resistant polyester fabric suits bank and boat trips alike.

Best for

  • Anglers carrying diverse tackle and tools
  • Bank and wade fishing where a shoulder bag works better than a box
  • Trips where portability matters more than desk organization

Skip if

  • You prefer rigid tackle boxes for protection
  • You need waterproof sealing for full protection

Strengths

  • Soft construction weighs less than hard boxes
  • Multiple pockets keep items organized and accessible
  • Adjustable shoulder strap spreads load
  • Included utility boxes help organize different tackle types

Trade-offs

  • Water-resistant, not waterproof; edges and zippers leak
  • Soft sides offer less protection for delicate lures and rods
  • Larger bags are heavier when fully loaded
