Quick take
A 350-size low-profile reel with a 6.4:1 ratio, designed for casting and flipping bass lures on medium to heavy line.
The Okuma Citrix 350 is a right-hand low-profile baitcaster with a 6.4:1 gear ratio, built around a die-cast aluminum frame and a machined aluminum spool. It runs a multi-disc Carbonite drag system with up to 25 lb of max drag and eight stainless steel ball bearings, at about 11 oz. It suits bass anglers stepping up to a baitcaster for mid-weight line, with room for roughly 230 yards of 14 lb line.
Best for
- Flipping and pitching to cover with heavy line
- Anglers who want a reel that tracks straight without bird's nests
- Freshwater bass fishing from a boat or shore
Skip if
- You need a left-hand option; this is right hand only
- You want to make long distance casts
Strengths
- Low-profile design fits in the palm for more control
- Aluminum frame is rigid and durable
- Multiple stainless steel bearings make the reel smooth
Trade-offs
- Requires more technique to avoid backlashes than modern closed reels
- Heavier drag means more effort to set the hook on light line
- Line capacity is modest for a 350 size
