Quick take
A 6 ft 6 in 2-piece casting rod with 30-ton carbon fiber, 15% lighter and 20% stronger than previous generation.
This One Bass casting rod is a 6'6" two-piece with a medium power and fast action, built on a carbon fiber blank. It pairs a split grip with a line weight range of 8 to 12 pounds, which suits bass fishing with crankbaits and similar lures. The two-piece design makes it easier to carry to the water than a one-piece rod of the same length.
Best for
- Bass anglers casting crankbaits all day
- Anglers who want light weight without sacrificing power
- Those who prefer casting for versatility across lure types
Skip if
- You fish heavy vegetation requiring extreme strength
- You need a one-piece rod for maximum sensitivity
Strengths
- At 15% lighter than previous models reduces fatigue through long casts
- 30-ton carbon fiber provides 20% more strength at reduced weight
- Exposed blank design keeps rod sensitive while maintaining power
Trade-offs
- 2-piece construction sacrifices some sensitivity vs. one-piece
- Fast action is optimized for crankbaits but less versatile
- Carbon fiber can develop micro-cracks from impact to hard structures
