Quick take
Medium foam strike indicators with screw-on attachment, designed for line weight 4X and heavier.
This six-pack of Oros medium strike indicators gives fly anglers a simple way to watch a nymph rig. Two foam halves screw together around the leader, so you can slide the indicator up or down by twisting it loose, with no small parts to drop. The medium size suits leaders around 4X or heavier, and the six come in an aluminum jar that slips into a vest pocket.
Best for
- Nymph fishing under an indicator in streams
- Dry-dropper presentations in calm water
- Anglers who want easy adjustment without line kinking
Skip if
- You fish very small delicate streams with 6X or lighter tippet
- You prefer yarn or cork indicators
Strengths
- Screw-on design adjusts easily without fumbling
- Two-tone colors let you match visibility conditions
Trade-offs

- Threaded attachment adds bulk compared to tied-on indicators
- May not suit ultra-light 3X line
