Quick take

Black chrome size 6/0 soft bait hooks with a centering pin that keeps bait centered on the hook shank.

The Owner Beast 6/0 is an unweighted soft bait hook sold as a three-pack. Its spring-style centering pin on the eye holds the nose of a soft plastic in place while the bait is rigged. The forged shank and needle point suit larger soft plastics such as swimbaits, flukes and creature baits.

Best for

  • Worms and crawfish under a float
  • Live shiners and small baitfish
  • Jigging with soft plastics

Skip if

  • You fish with artificial lures
  • You need more than three hooks per pack

Strengths

  • Twin-lock centering pin keeps bait from sliding during casts
  • Needle point penetrates fish jaw quickly
  • Black chrome finish resists corrosion

Trade-offs

  • Designed for lighter baits as stated by manufacturer
  • Needle point may not hold larger baits as securely
  • Pack of three may deplete quickly during active fishing
