Quick take
Tournament-quality trailer treble hooks with hand-tied feathers and mylar flash for spoons and crankbaits.
Owner's Tournament Trailer pairs a size 8 treble hook with feathers and reflective Mylar flash tied around the shank. When the trailer is pulled behind a crank bait or spoon, the feathers move like the tail of a minnow and then spread as the lure stops. The feathers keep moving during a stop-and-go retrieve, which suits anglers who work their lures with pauses.
Best for
- Trailing behind crankbaits to trigger strikes from inactive bass
- Trailing behind spoons in clear water
- Anglers who tie their own lure trailers
Skip if
- You need single hook trailers; these are treble hooks
Strengths
- Hand-tied feathers and mylar imitate minnow tail movement
- Super needle point penetrates quickly on short line
- Available in multiple sizes and color combinations
Trade-offs
- Treble hooks are prohibited in some catch-and-release areas
- Hand-tied construction breaks down faster than painted hooks
- Feathers reduce casting distance compared to plain trailers
