Quick take

Weighted hook with centering pin for rigging soft plastics perfectly every cast, sized for bass.

A weighted Twistlock hook in size 4/0 with a black chrome finish and a needle point. The centering pin sits in the middle of a soft plastic and the bait screws onto the coil spring, so it rigs straight each time. The weight is fixed to the shank, which suits weedless pitching and skipping into heavy cover for bass.

Best for

  • Rigging soft plastics weedless for pitch-and-flip presentations
  • Skipping baits under docks and overhanging cover
  • Anglers who want quick, secure bait rigging

Skip if

  • You prefer unweighted rigging for maximum plastic movement
  • You fish open water where weight adds unnecessary casting fatigue

Strengths

  • Centering pin holds plastic in place through multiple casts
  • Built-in weight eliminates need for additional sinkers
  • XXX-strong shank and needle-point hook for solid hooksets

Trade-offs

  • Weight limits casting distance compared to unweighted rigs
  • Extra weight can detune soft plastic action
  • Requires soft plastic baits; does not work with hard lures
