Quick take
Ultra-light round head jig with a super sharp needle point, designed for drop-shot and other finesse rigging.
The Owner Ultrahead Finesse is a round-head jig with a J-bend hook and a worm-holding Z-lock shoulder, made for Texas-rigging finesse worms, small grubs and tube baits. At 1/16 ounce on a 2/0 hook, it suits light presentations for bass working lily pads, vegetation and laydowns in shallow water. Anglers who want a weedless jig for tight cover will find this five-pack an easy choice to start with.
Best for
- Drop-shot presentations on light line
- Clear water where fish are line-shy
- Smallmouth and panfish in tight cover
Skip if
- You need a mushroom or football head shape
- You fish weighted soft plastics that need a keeper
Strengths
- Ultra-light at 1/16 oz allows very slow descent
- Super needle point penetrates instantly on light line
- Round head design works with any small soft bait
Trade-offs
- Light weight limits casting distance in wind
- 1/16 oz is too light for deeper water
- Small size restricts to light line and finesse-focused anglers
